Fractional CFO

Build scalable, automated, and insight-driven financial operations across two complementary business models. You’ll design lean, effective financial systems, coach our internal finance team, and serve as a strategic sounding board to the founders.

This is a part-time engagement (~1–2 days/week, with more time likely during the initial setup phase), ideal for a finance leader who enjoys working closely with founders and building things from the ground up.

Design and improve financial processes (invoicing, payments, bookkeeping) in collaboration with internal staff and external accountants

Implement automation and smart tooling to reduce manual work and errors

Oversee accounting accuracy, compliance, and internal controls

Ensure revenue assurance and cost discipline

Establish a monthly reporting cadence (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast)

Lead pricing and cost structure reviews (including market benchmarking)

Define and track key metrics (e.g. GP per employee, CAC, client profitability, burn rate)

Build and maintain budgeting and forecasting models for both companies

Guide scenario planning, capital allocation, and investment decisions

Provide financial input into hiring and growth plans

Benchmark performance against relevant industry standards

Support investor readiness, fundraising, or M&A

Have experience as a CFO or finance leader in a startup, agency, or SaaS environment

Enjoy designing lean yet scalable financial infrastructure

Are hands-on with BI tools (e.g. Metabase, Power BI) and comfortable with SQL or basic data pipelines

Communicate financial insights clearly and strategically

Work well in founder-led environments and lean teams

Thrive in fast-moving, informal cultures built on trust and autonomy

Bonus: CPA, CFA, or similar credentials are welcome but not required
